2nd Intersociety Congress on Plant Health Products
Interest in the use of plant products has increased significantly in recent years, especially in industrialized countries. Faced with the need to provide products with high quality, safety and efficacy, a supply chain of medicinal plants is necessary, starting from the botanical pharmaceutical and pharmacognostic recognition up to the use in therapy. For this reason, there is an ever-increasing need for an interdisciplinary vision of this path with studies and research in the botanical, agronomic, ecological, phytochemical, biochemical, pharmacognostic, pharmacological, toxicological and technological-pharmaceutical fields.
The Conference "2nd Inter-society Congress on Plant Products for Health" aims to bring together and encourage discussion among interested Members for shared, targeted and rigorous research. The Conference is organized by the Italian Society of Pharmacognosy, the Italian Society of Pharmacology, the Italian Society of Phytochemistry, the Italian Society of Phytotherapy and the Italian Botanical Society (Officinal Plants Group) and will be held on 10-12 April 2025.
The main themes of the Conference, which will be divided into oral communications, posters and round tables, concern the botanical-pharmaceutical and phytochemical aspects, the pharmacological properties (including therapeutic uses and safety of use), phytotherapy, phytocosmetics, nutraceuticals and the technology of health products. Furthermore, the presence of numerous companies in the sector will encourage discussion and shared understanding of the needs of production and marketing realities
The registration fee is 200.00 Euro and, for those with a fixed membership, it includes lunch and dinner on 11 April.
For non-structured people who will present scientific works (oral communication or poster) there is a registration fee of 50 Euro, which includes accommodation for April 10 and 11, lunch and dinner on April 11.
