Society

The S.I.F. - Italian Society of Phytochemistry and Sciences of Medicinal, Food and Perfume Plants - established in 1981, is a scientific association of private law, non-profit. Its purpose is to promote knowledge of the plant world with an interdisciplinary vision which includes experts in the botanical, agronomic, ecological, phytochemical, biochemical, pharmacognostic, pharmacological, toxicological, food, cosmetic, technological-pharmaceutical fields.
 
Intends in particular:
- to encourage and increase scientific research in all the fields mentioned;
- to disseminate the scientific knowledge acquired among the members, stimulating among them both the exchange of information and collaboration and cooperation in research;
- to maintain relations with other European and non-European scientific societies and study centers that have similar purposes;
- to disseminate the importance of the Sciences of Medicinal, Food and Perfume Plants.
