1° Intersociety Congress on Plant Health Products: The Role of Medicinal Plants in Modern Medicine
In recent years there has been an increase in the use of plant products, particularly in industrialized countries, among the higher socio-economic classes and in the elderly suffering from multiple chronic pathologies. Faced with this growing interest, it is necessary to review the role of medicinal plants taking into account the entire supply chain, starting from the pharmaceutical and pharmacognostic botanical recognition, up to their use in therapy. Important roles in this path belong to studies and research in the pharmaceutical, phytochemical and pharmacological botanical fields.
The conference "1st inter-society congress on plant products for health: The role of medicinal plants in modern medicine" aims to bring together and encourage discussion among interested members for shared, targeted and reliable research. The conference is organized by the Italian Society of Pharmacognosy, the Italian Society of Phytochemistry, the Italian Society of Pharmacology, the Italian Society of Phytotherapy and the Medicinal Plants Group of the Italian Botanical Society and will be held on 15-17 June 2023 at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the University of Padua in collaboration with the Foundation for Advanced Biomedical Research (VIMM).
The main themes of the Conference, which will be divided into oral communications, posters and round tables, will reveal the pharmaceutical, phytochemical, botanical aspects, pharmacological properties (including therapeutic use and side effects), phytotherapy, phytocosmetics, nutraceuticals and the technology of health products. Furthermore, the presence of numerous companies in the sector will encourage discussion and shared understanding of the needs of the production and marketing realities.
The registration fee is 150.00 Euros and, for structured students, includes lunch on June 16th and dinner on June 16th.
For non-structured students who will present scientific papers (oral communication or poster) there is a registration fee of 50 Euros which includes accommodation for 15 and 16 June, lunch on 16 June and dinner on 16 June
